Home and Apartment Maintenance in Bend, Oregon

One Call for Just About Everything Your Home Needs

Homeownership comes with a never-ending list. Leaky faucets, sticking doors, worn weather stripping, busted light fixtures, cracked caulk around the tub, a garage door that won’t quite close right — individually, each item feels small. Together, they pile up fast, and they have a way of turning into bigger problems if they sit too long. Having someone reliable to call — someone who actually shows up and knows what they’re doing — is something most homeowners find genuinely hard to come by.

That’s exactly the gap I fill. I offer dependable home and apartment maintenance services throughout Central Oregon, handling a wide range of repairs and upkeep tasks so homeowners and property managers can stay ahead of issues instead of reacting to them.

Experience Built in Two Different Climates

My maintenance background goes back to 2017, when I started working for The Preiss Company in Raleigh, North Carolina — a large property management company that provides student housing throughout the state. That job gave me real, high-volume experience handling maintenance demands across multiple units and properties. My supervisor, Bill Settle, taught me how to stay organized, prioritize effectively, and work efficiently under pressure.

When I relocated to Central Oregon, I had to adapt everything I knew to a completely different climate and environment. Central Oregon is a high desert, and it has its own specific maintenance challenges — hard freezes, temperature swings between day and night, UV exposure, dry air that affects wood and caulking, and persistent pest pressure from mice looking for warmth in the colder months. Learning those regional specifics made me a much more versatile and well-rounded maintenance professional.

Winterization and Cold-Weather Prep

One of the most valuable maintenance services I offer in this climate is proper home winterization. Frozen pipes are a real risk in Central Oregon winters, and the damage from a burst pipe can be catastrophic — and expensive. Proper winterization includes inspecting and insulating exposed pipes, checking and servicing heating systems, sealing drafts around windows and doors, checking weather stripping, and making sure crawl spaces and attics are properly sealed against cold air intrusion.

I also help homeowners address the less obvious cold-weather vulnerabilities — the spots where warm air is escaping, where moisture can accumulate, and where pests are most likely to find their way in. A little attention in the fall can prevent a lot of headaches in January.

Property Management Support

In addition to working directly with homeowners, I work with landlords and small property managers who need a dependable maintenance person they can trust to handle issues professionally and efficiently. Tenants deserve responsive maintenance, and landlords need someone who communicates clearly, shows up when they say they will, and gets the job done without a lot of hand-holding. That’s exactly how I operate.
